The Drôme Valley, Country and Vercors are the territories of excellence of activities of full nature.
Delimitated in the South by the Provencal Drome with the Via ferrata de Chalacon and the descent of canyon of Arnayon, the Vercors stands in the North with its iconic cliffs of the mountain of Glandasse. These territories offer exceptional valleys, cliffs, gorges, plateaus and forests where the activities of a full nature find their place in this environment preserved.
Preserved sites for leisure and outdoor activities in Drôme
– the Gats gorges labeled « remarkable site » at the level of the Drôme department with their numerous canyons and deep more than 100 metres, as well as several climbing routes « adventure field » on the rocks and limestone walls
– the Claps site classified since 2004 with its 120 lanesescalation, a descent of canyon in the rocky chaos and via ferrata
– the Roanne valley with its road labeled « remarkable » which reveals the geological formations of the Diois (downhills of canyon Concrete and Gleyzolles accessible to children aged 10)
– the cliffs of Chironne at the limits of the high plateau reserve of the Vercors Regional Natural Park with their via ferrata
– Drôme Riverwithout hindrance or dam, flows freely from the batie des fonts in the upper Diois at the mouth of the Rhone. It is the last wild river in the Alps. With 6 to 45 km of journey in canoe kayak, you will discover it at your own pace.
